Americans of all political stripes recognize the value of fairness. We want to get the best deal, get the most bang for our buck and feel that the juice was well worth it.
We have been bombarded with images such as the one below. President Joe Biden grinningAs the administration continued to promote electric vehicles (EVs), I was seated from ear-to-ear in an all electric Cadillac Lyriq. However, it’s important to look past the politics to consider the facts and data surrounding EVs. My statistics professor in graduate school said, “Numbers are very similar to people.” If you torture them enough, they’ll tell you anything you want to know.” There’s no need to torture them. We can easily discover the truth about EVs by simply looking at data from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
As a licensed forester, my support for environmental stewardship and the reduction of carbon emissions is important to me. As a professional engineer, I’m fascinated by technology and support solutions that actually work. EVs don’t solve the problem, and the numbers are clear.
AUTO SHOW MID RECORD INFLATION PROMOTES EXPENSIVE ELECTRIC VEHICLES BY BIDEN
If we could just wave a magic wand to convert every U.S. passenger vehicle into an EV, the global greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs), would fall by only 0.9% You can do the math yourself.
The U.S. produces 15% of the world’s GHGs, transportation accounts for 27% of those emissions, and 57% of transportation emissions come from passenger cars and light duty trucks. This means that GHGs would drop by 2.3% if every vehicle was an electric vehicle (EV) with batteries from a noncarbon emitting power source. Only 39%, however, of U.S. electricity comes from non carbon emitting sources. Therefore, realistically, if every car in the U.S. was an EV, carbon in the world’s atmosphere would be reduced by less than 1%.
EXPERTS SLAM PETE BUTTIGIEG’S COMMENTS ON EVS: ‘A CON JOB’
Why is this? California is the place to be if you are a fantasy. After 2035, gas-powered cars were banned. Residents were told to not charge their electric cars or use large appliances such as washing machines during peak hours.
California Governor Gavin Newsom Those who fight against this absurdity are called “doubling down on stupid” It’s arguable that any reasonable individual who could do basic math would see it the other way around.

Democrats not only want to ban gasoline-powered cars but also actively seek to end domestic mining of vital minerals that makes electric cars possible.
In March, President Biden CancelledThe lease was for Minnesota Twin Metals, a mining company that would supply copper, nickel and cobalt needed for electronic products. These minerals are essential, Democrats recognize. However, they make us reliant on countries such as China and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which use child labor and slave labor and have very few real labor or environmental laws.

Democrats are controlling American mining and energy companies through overregulation, driving up prices to foresee a “green transformation,” while simultaneously slowing down American jobs by adopting “not in our backyard” policies.
The world is using more ofAll forms of energy and we’re seeing an insatiable global appetite for new energy. New spending for EVs has already cost taxpayers $34 billion since President Biden took office, and that’s just a drop in the bucket of what this administration wants to spend going forward. However, the U.S. can offset their emissions at a much lower rate than developing countries. This is despite the fact that they are creating fossil fuel energy systems on a greater scale than us.
What’s more, Americans simply can’t afford this false transition. A new Census poll has shown that 26% Americans are forced to choose between basic costs like food or medicine to pay their bills. energy billsOne in six Americans reported being unable to pay all of their energy bills within the last year. This is unacceptable when we can affordably meet our energy needs through this country’s vast natural resources.

We don’t have to choose between our economy and our environment. Innovation and efficiency improvements in the areas that work, like nuclear, natural gas and hydrogen, will improve our domestic statistics. However, a focus on large-scale natural solutions such forest management, tree plantation, biochar and precision agriculture will provide affordable, reliable and clean technologies for developing countries.
To meet the world’s energy needsWe must be good environmental stewards but also embrace all-of-the above energy and robust research, innovation, and development. It’s a foolish decision to place all our eggs into the EV basket. This is wasteful of taxpayer money and a threat to our future. Democrat’s EV policies are not the most cost-effective.
