The small round pellets arranged in clusters above are actually eggs of the lychee stink bug, which is very common in Vietnam. This is a stink bug in the family Tessaratomidae. The adults are yellow-brown in color, with a white waxy coating on their abdomen. They are 25–30 mm long. They damage lychee and longan trees. Both larvae and adults of lychee stink bugs damage trees.
