Three people — one student and two adults — were shot outside a high school football stadium in Toledo, OhioFriday night.
The incident happened during Whitmer High School’s football matchup against Central Catholic High School. FOX 19 reported that the shooting resulted in the game being halted.
Toledo police stated that the victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment and they should be able to recover.

Several gunshots were heard throughout the game, prompting many spectators to run from the stands. Many bullet casings were found scattered on the ground in front of the school’s fieldhouse.

According to police, two persons are in custody while two are out are “possibly” connected to the shooting.

“An act de violence took place outside the stadium during tonight’s football match between Whitmer and Central Catholic. Three people, including two adults from Whitmer, were shot at the stadium. They were then taken to a local medical facility to be treated. Katie Peters, spokesperson Washington Local Schools, stated in a statement.

The statement said that no guests were hurt in the evacuation. It also stated that they couldn’t be prouder of their students, staff, Whitmer fans and Central Catholic guests. “Whitmer Athletic’s policy of screening all guests and wanding them was observed and the WLS-pre-established safety plan was implemented immediately.
