Some people were left feeling that the cockpit was unsafe after a look at the interior in the month of May. More barebones than expected.

Recently leaked footage of the “frunk”. – the nickname given to the extra storage space in the front of EVs where an engine would go in an ICE vehicle – has some superfans feeling disappointed about the seemingly puny compartment.
The video was circulated on Elon Musk, Tesla’s CEO, social media site X (formerly Twitter) earlier this month. While some users felt the overall design of the Cybertruck makes up for the small frunk, others expressed disappointment – especially in comparison to Ford’s massive F-150 Lightning frunk.

Ford’s F-150 Lightning, which has been on the market for over a year now, has seen a steady increase in demand. Ford has recently reopened the Lightning’s orders to include more affordable trim levels.

Karl Brauer, automotive analyst for iSeeCars, said that it could be enough to know that this vehicle is “Tesla’s version of the truck.” One analyst dubbed it the “Hummer of the 2020s”, citing its jarring appearance and appeal for EV enthusiasts as well as luxury-minded customers.
Insider reported that Ivan Drury is an automotive analyst at the car-shopping site Edmunds.
