Scientists Have Discovered a Gigantic Question mark in Space: ScienceAlert

You might get a surprise if you zoom in on an amazing new image taken by the James Webb Space Telescope.

Then, there is the The background of a spectacular star birthA curicue of light and blob in the form of an English punctuation marks: the question mark.

It’s not clear what object it is, but the distance from the object makes it appear redder. The greater its distance, the more it will cost. The accelerating expansion in the Universe causes the light to be stretched as it moves towards us. This lengthens the light into the more reddish parts of the spectrum.

It is possible that the two blobs are two galaxies that have interacted. This is something we see quite often, and gravitational interactions can cause galaxies to collide. Interesting shapes with elongated lengths.

Some of them look just like other things. Some of them look exactly like other things. Antennae GalaxiesLooks a bit like a mirror Bass clefIt looks like the upper part of a question-mark.

It’s not that they are, but it appears to be because of a human perception quirk known as pareidoliaWe can find patterns and meanings even in seemingly random arrangements.

The cosmic question mark may look different up close. The perfect combination of perspective and distance may make it appear that the two objects are punctuation marks. We value what’s important to us.

We’d choose the question mark as the mascot of the Universe. Is there another object which so beautifully embodies our endless curiosity for the boundless worlds above?
