We live in an environment that values the individual. Raw MilkInjecting the botulism poison into our skin to combat wrinkles may sound strange and even dangerous. However, it is an acceptable method to do so. Interesting…
Luckily, there are natural ways to fight the signs of aging that don’t involve risky procedures.
This rosehip seed oil facial moisturizer is a wrinkle-fighting powerhouse… and is better for you than Botox. (Though to be fair, it isn’t too tough to be “better” than botulism!)
Rosehip Seed Oil: Benefits
If you’re trying to prevent wrinkles, or even if they’ve already take hold, rosehip seed oil has many unique properties that make it a great choice for aging or damaged skin.
Penetrates skin
Unlike other oils for mature skin, rosehip seed oil is astringent and considered a “dry oil,” which means it sinks into skin quickly. This allows the essential fatty acids in rosehip seed oil to penetrate deeply and soothe dry skin.
Boosts Collagen Production
Vitamin A in rosehip seed oil encourages the skin to produce its own collagen. Other facial moisturizers containing collagen might claim that they are. anti-aging, but there’s a problem: Too large collagen molecule for our skin to absorb when they’re applied topically.
Nourishes the skin and regenerates
Rosehip seed oil keeps skin supple and strong by nourishing skin with vitamins A, C, and E. It’s also very high in linoleic and alpha-linoleic acids, which promote cellular regeneration and keep skin looking youthful.
The skin is soothed and scars are reduced
The Journal of the American Medical Association published a study in 2015. Journal of CosmeticsRosehip seed oil is beneficial in healing wounds and reducing scars after surgery. The same study also suggests that rosehip seed oil may reduce photo-aging caused by sun exposure because of its vitamin A (retinol).
How to make Rosehip Seed oil Facial Moisturizer
This recipe for rosehip seed oil facial moisturiser contains only seven ingredients that are skin-boosting and no other junk. One batch will last for months and still be cheaper than anti-aging products.
Choosing Rosehip Seed Oil
Color is important when it comes to rosehip oil. Rosehip seed oils that are grown conventionally tend to be pale yellow, lacking in lycopene and other vitamins and minerals. Source does matter.
Vitamin E
Vitamin E extends the shelf life for homemade products. It does not act as a preserver, but rather slows down the oxidation process of carrier oil. It has a similar impact on the skin. It helps fight free radicals and reduces aging.
Mango Butter
The polyphenols in mango butter help to rejuvenate the skin and reduce inflammation. This butter helps to thicken the facial moisturizer, but doesn’t feel greasy on the skin.
Essential Oils
Many essential oils can help fight signs of aging. Frankincense, patchouli, and geranium have powerful anti-aging and wrinkle-fighting qualities. If you prefer a lighter scent, try carrot seed or geranium. It’s up to you which scent you like.

Instructions
-
Combine the mango butter and sweet almond oil in a glass bowl that can be heated.
-
Pour a double boiler, place the glass pan on top of a pan that is half filled with water. (The bottom of the glass pan should not touch the pan’s water).
-
Place the pan in the oven and heat it to medium high.
-
Turn off the heat, and remove the bowl with care from the pot.
-

-
Mix the facial moisturizer with a mixer fitted with a whisk attachment or by hand until it becomes creamy and smooth. Stop mixing when the mixture looks like lotion.
-
Store the moisturizer either in a metal or glass tin.
