The man was charged with the murder striking “Gone Girl” actor Lisa BanesLast year, he was involved in an accident involving an electric scooter. He pleaded guilty Wednesday to manslaughter and will be sentenced to one- to three years imprisonment.
Brian Boyd, 27 years old, will be sentenced Nov. 30-in the death Banes. Banes died after being struck by the scooter Boyd was driving as she crossed New York City’s streets in June 2021.
Banes died at 65 on July 14, 2021 after being admitted to the hospital. In movies such as “Gone Girl” (2014) and “Cocktail”, 1988, she was also seen on television shows like “Nashville,” Madam Secretary,” Masters of Sex and “NCIS.”

Boyd, who After being thrown into Banes, he fled.He was taken into custody weeks later. He pleaded guilty Wednesday, to second-degree murder and leaving the scene without reporting an incident.

Boyd received a sentence that was shorter than what the Manhattan district attorney’s Office had requested.

Boyd’s attorney stated that she has no comment.
