Hollow Knight fans, Nintendo has confirmed the sequel is coming to Switch 2.
Announced at the company’s Nintendo Direct event on Wednesday, along with the Switch 2, Hollow Knight: Silksong will be released in 2025 (that’s all we’re getting for now). The follow-up to Metroidvania and Team Cherry’s 2017 game, Silksong was heavily rumoured to be unveiled at Nintendo’s Switch event last week, but seems to have been held specifically for todays Switch 2 announcement — and it was a blink and you’ll miss it moment at the end of the hour-long presentation.
Hollow Knight: Silksong has been one of the most wishlisted games on Steam for an age. The game was first announced by Team Cherry in 2019 as full-scale sequel to Hollow Knight instead of downloadable content.
