NFL Execs Vote Ja’Marr Chase Best Offensive Player, ‘Can Score Literally Every Time’

Cincinnati Bengals star receiver Ja’Marr Chase is coming off a historic 2024 season, and he’s earned his respect from the rest of the NFL.

The Athletic’s Jeff Howe conducted a poll of 31 NFL coaches and executives, and they voted Chase as the league’s best offensive player. The 25-year-old received 17 votes, ahead of Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley (10), Minnesota Vikings wideout Justin Jefferson (2) and Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry (1).

Chase achieved the rare triple crown last season after leading the NFL with 127 catches, 1,708 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns. Howe noted that he only received one out of the 26 votes for best offensive player in the 2024 poll, but there wasn’t much of a debate entering the 2025 campaign.

“Chase can score literally every time he touches the ball,” a head coach told Howe.

After his special year, Chase was rewarded with a four-year, $161 million contract extension, which at the time made him the highest paid non-quarterback in NFL history.

The Bengals are hoping to reestablish themselves as Super Bowl contenders this season, and Chase’s presence gives them a strong chance to be one of the elite teams in the NFL in 2025.
