Looks like the feud between Tom Holland and Anthony Mackie is not over yet. The ‘Captain America‘ star recently took a dig at Holland and this time, fans are not impressed. What happened, you ask?
While promoting his upcoming film ‘Captain America: Brave New World‘, Anthony joked that the Julius Onah directorial is better than Holland’s Spider-Man trilogy. “This is way better than any of Tom Holland’s movies. Also, I have Harrison Ford,” said mackie on the recent episode of The Official Marvel Podcast. For the uninitiated, Ford will be seen playing the role of Red Hulk in the upcoming film.
Going by the reactions, fans are not impressed with Anthony’s dig at Holland. A fan took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and wrote, “No Way Home is a hard one to beat my guy.” Another one wrote, “Maybe better than Spider-Man Homecoming & Far From Home but absolutely not better than ‘No Way Home’ the movie was absolutely GOAT!” “Okay bud,” wrote a fan.

Holland and Mackie have been feuding for years. How it all started? It started in 2016 during a press junket for ‘Captain America: Civil War‘, when Mackie made a joke about Holland needing ‘juice breaks’. The digs between them continued through 2018, with Holland joking about the fact that Spider-Man had his own movie, but Falcon didn’t.
Now, in ‘Captain America: Brave New World‘, Anthony is playing the lead role. The Julius Onah-directed film will be released on February 14, 2025.
