Friends of Allison Rice, a senior at Louisiana State UniversityThe 21-year-old was found dead in her Baton Rouge, Louisiana car. She was a kind and loving young woman.
“Everyone is just satisfied.” Everyone. I had a friend, and I don’t see her often… and she messaged me, and said, ‘Was that your niece?’ and I said, ‘Yes,’ and she wrote back and said, ‘I feel like she’s family now. It’s like she’s everybody’s daughter. Everyone’s daughter. Everyone’s niece. Everyone’s sister,” Susie Rice Granier (Rice’s aunt), told Fox News Digital.
Officers from Baton Rouge found Rice She was fatally shot in the car.The bullet-ridden building was found near the tracks of Government Street on Friday morning, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department, WAFB-TV. The outlet was told by investigators that the victim may have been waiting for a train when the shooting took place.
Fox News Digital was informed by the police that they had no further information regarding the case Saturday afternoon.

Granier claimed that her family has received support from friends, strangers, politicians and even celebrities.Â
“We will miss her. She was always happy and smiling. I just picture her walking into her dad’s house and saying, ‘Hey everybody!’ and hugging and kissing everyone, smiling. She was a bright, bubbly person. She was a cheerleader, winning school spirit awards, and such. Granier said she had never met a stranger.
Rice was born in Baton Rouge and was 21 years old when he began studying marketing at LSU.Â

“She wanted to be 21. She would have graduated in May. Rice’s aunt said that this was the beginning to her future. She also noted that her niece was a rising star in the area she worked. However, “as with every city, there are some areas that you must go through that aren’t so pleasant, and unfortunately that was on her journey home.”Â
Investigators believe Rice was at a party Friday night before she was killed.Â

Granier claimed that Granier shot Granier because she was at an intersection, waiting for a train. Granier speculated that Granier tried to “turnaround or get away” from her when Granier shot her.

She said, “The fear is they won’t find the person who did it,”
Rice’s friends remembered Rice on social media as a beautiful soul and a “raye of sunshine.”

“How could this girl have gone?” I don’t really understand. Allie deserved more than this… but instead she got the evil and senseless actions of one sick person,” Kaylin Mason posted on Friday, along with several photos of Rice, in a Facebook post. “…I am sending my heart and prayers to her friends, family, and everyone who feels the impact of this loss. There are many people who are heartbroken by this loss, I’m sure.

Bella Taylor, a friend, wrote in a Facebook post Rice was “a beautiful person” and “one the kindest people she’d ever met.”
“[S]When I was feeling down, he would always make me smile and laugh. She made me feel valued and included. Taylor wrote that she will be greatly missed by many. “Please be safe, especially when you’re traveling alone, on empty streets, late at night or on empty streets.
Granier issued a similar warning.[Friends]Have to be together. A buddy system is a must. There is just too much happening, even at LSU, Tigerland, and Baton Rouge. Everywhere. Be yourself. Be a good example to others. Take care of each other. Caring for one another is important. Be a friend. Be careful. It is not a great place right now.

LSU released a statement Friday stating that it was “saddened” to learn of the death of Allison Rice, senior, overnight.
“Her family, friends and loved ones are in our thoughts. We encourage anyone with any information regarding this crime to contact Baton Rouge Police,” said the statement. “Any of her classmates and friends that want to talk with someone about this issue or need assistance processing this loss, can call the Mental Health Service at Student Health Center (225-578-8744).”
