Last weekend, football in England was halted following the death Queen Elizabeth II.
The Football Association confirmed that all levels of the game would be stopped, including the Premier League and grassroots. As a gesture of respect, fixtures in Wales (Scotland) and Northern Ireland were also moved.
While some games have been cleared to resume this week, there have been further postponements in domestic and European competition ahead of the late monarch’s state funeral on Monday September 19 — an event that will require an unprecedented security and policing operation in London.

When can Premier League games take place?
A calendar already congested by the World Cup in Qatar — the Premier League stops for six weeks in mid-November — does not have space for midweek rearrangements due to spaces taken up by European competitions and the Carabao Cup.
Games that have been postponed will be rescheduled in the week commencing January 16.
Any Premier League club that is unable to play on the next matchday due to another postponement of the pre-World Cup international break, will be without playing for four weeks.
