Lily Collins-led ‘Emily in Paris’ season 5 to go on floors in May in Rome; Camille Razat won’t return

Emily in Paris‘ fans, we have some exciting news for you. The new season of the beloved Netflix series will kick off production in May in Rome and will move to Paris later in the summer.

Lily Collins will return as Emily Cooper and will be joined by her new Italian beau, Marcello (played by Eugenio Franceschini). Lucas Bravo, Ashley Park, and more will reprise their roles. However, Camille Razat, who plays Gabriel’s ex Cami, will not return for season 5.

The fourth season ended on a cliffhanger. Sylvie, played by Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, handed Emily a major position in Italy to run Agence Grateau’s Italian office. Emily agrees as it allows her to be near her new Italian love interest, Marcello. On the other hand, Gabriel, encouraged by Alfie, decides to pursue Emily.

In an earlier interview with Parade, Lucas Bravo opened up about the upcoming season, saying, “We’re starting filming in May. I think it’s the best season so far.” Furthermore, he hinted that it will be full of surprises, saying, “I had lunch with Darren (Star) a few days back, and he told me a bit without telling me much. I think fans are going to lose it. It’s the craziest one so far.”

The Netflix series also stars Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Samuel Arnold, Brunoa Gouery, William Abadie, and Lucien Laviscount. While an official release date for season 5 has not been revealed yet, the show is expected to be released later this year.
