Popular actor Kim Soo-hyun is facing the wrath of netizens following the shocking revelations made by late actress Kim Sae-ron’s aunt. For the uninitiated, on March 10, the YouTube channel named Garosero Research Institute posted an explosive video where Sae-ron’s aunt made shocking claims related to the actress’ past.
Her aunt alleged that Soo-hyun was dating Sae-ron for six years, starting when she was just 15 and he was 27, before breaking up in 2022. The claims resurfaced after Sae-ron shared and quickly deleted a selfie with Soo-hyun on her Instagram last year.
The ‘Queen of Tears‘ actor’s agency, Gold Medalist, has responded to the rumours about him dating Sae-ron. The official statement read, “The claims made by Garosero Research Institute regarding Kim Soo-hyun on YouTube today are completely false.”
It continued, “They alleged that our company and Kim Soo-hyun colluded with YouTuber Lee Jin-ho to harass the late Kim Sae-ron, that Kim Soo-hyun had been dating the late Kim Sae-ron since she was 15, that our agency’s response to her drunk driving accident was unfair, and that our company’s manager had a close relationship with YouTuber Lee Jin-ho. These accusations, along with numerous other malicious claims against our company and Kim Soo-hyun, are entirely false, and we cannot overlook them.”
The actor’s agency further mourned the loss of Sae-ron as they stated, “We are deeply heartbroken by the news of the late Kim Sae-ron’s death, as she was once part of our company, and we mourn her passing.”
In the statement, Soo-hyun’s agency also slammed the Garosero Research Institute for spreading false rumours about the individuals. They called it a ‘direct repetition of the so-called ‘cyber-wrecker’ behaviour that deeply affected the deceased while she was alive.’ The actor’s agency urged everyone to stop spreading unverified claims. “We earnestly request that these baseless falsehoods do not continue to be disseminated, expanded, or reproduced,” it added.
For the uninitiated, Sae-ron was found dead at her home in Seoul, South Korea, on February 16, 2025. She was 24. Her death was ruled a suicide.
