South Korean actor Kim Soo-hyun, popular for his performances in K-drama ‘Queen of Tears’ and ‘It’s Okay to Not Be Okay,’ is now at the centre of a shocking scandal. Allegations have surfaced that he was in a secret relationship with late actress Kim Sae-ron, who passed away earlier this year at the age of 24.
A viral video posted by YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute, also known as Hoverlab, alleges Soo-hyun began dating Sae-ron when she was 15, a minor, and he was 27. Their relationship allegedly lasted for six years and Soo-hyun distanced himself from Sae-ron after her DUI controversy. This revelation has sparked heated discussions online, with many questioning the validity of the accusations and their potential impact on the actor’s career.
Kim Soo-hyun’s agency has repeatedly denied the underage dating controversy, claiming the duo was in a relationship between the summer of 2019 to the fall of 2020, when Sae-ron wasn’t a minor. Now, according to a report by Koreaboo, the late actress’ family is preparing to resort to digital forensics to unmask the truth and provide proof.
“We just wanted an apology, but this is disappointing. The agency released a photo of the funeral wreath, but it was just a staff member who came, not Kim Soo Hyun himself. The two were in a long-term relationship, so shouldn’t he have visited in person? We have decided to conduct digital forensics on photos that can prove Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron were in a relationship when she was a minor,” reportedly said the family.
Kim Sae-ron was found dead at her apartment in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, on February 16, shockingly, the date coincides with Kim Soo-hyun’s birthday.
