Jake Paul believes the money has got to be right to have a rematch between Katie Taylor or Amanda Serrano. However, he insists it must happen.
Taylor and Serrano clashed in a modern classic earlier this year Enjoy a great atmosphere with 19,000 fansMadison Square Garden, New York’s iconic venue.
It was an extremely close fight with thrilling action throughout, but it was Ireland’s Taylor who emerged victorious by split decision to defend her undisputed lightweight world titles.
The fight was so close that both Eddie Hearn (promoter) and Paul, the promoters for the women, were able to stop the clock immediately after the last bell. A rematch is required immediately.
However, they have been moving in opposite directions. Serrano will defend her unified featherweight titles against Sarah Mahfoud, while Mahfoud will be on the undercard. Joseph Parker vs Joe JoyceSaturday night
Meanwhile, according to Broadcaster Chris MannixTaylor is currently in negotiations for his faceCris Cyborg, a legend in MMAIn a December boxing match.
Those are my thoughts. Paul previously offered Taylor $2 MillionFor a rematch, she would need to earn twice as much, but it would have to be at featherweight or supra featherweight. Now, the social media star is calling for the pair of them to fight again.
“The rematch needs to happen,” Paul told talkSPORT. “It’s one of the best boxing matches ever in the sport.
“I’ve never heard a stadium get that loud before. The rematch needs to happen and we’ll just make the right decisions for when and where and who.
“As long as Eddie Hearn knows the terms. They made a big mistake by coming to us with the exact same amount of money as before.
“The fight’s five times bigger now and only building and growing. So the money needs to be right for Amanda.”
