James Gunn-directed ‘Superman‘ released worldwide in July 2025. As we all know, David Corenswet stepped into the shoes of Henry Cavill to play the Man of Steel. The actor delivered a terrific performance as Clark Kent/Superman, proving he was the right choice. Fans can’t wait to see more of him onscreen.
The filmmaker informed fans on the Threads app that he is writing the script for the new film, where Superman will have a major role.
The director also addressed the ongoing clash between Zack Snyder and Gunn following the release of ‘Superman‘. He advised fans to stay away from online toxicity.
“If you see something toxic online, my advice would be, don’t interact with it. Attention only fans the flames of online toxicity. It’s one of the reasons I’m primarily on this platform. It isn’t because there are fewer toxic people (although there seemingly are), it’s because it started as an online culture more willing to let the toxic personality in the back of the room shout himself hoarse and go away. When you shout back, you’re making that voice relevant. You’re giving it a sounding board. You are the midwife helping to birth that toxic voice into the world,” he said.
Who is in Gunn’s ‘Superman’? Besides Corenswet, ‘Superman‘ also stars Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, and Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific.
