The veteran Tisdale, who’s started 18 of the 35 games he’s played in at Tech, regained his eligibility Sunday after working through an NCAA issue, head coach Brent Pry said, not an academic one.
He missed the season’s first six games, putting in work on the scout team.
“He’s worked really hard and embraced his role, even though he was frustrated,” Pry said. “And really brought value to the scout team each and every practice. Glad it worked out. … So I’m excited to see what Alan can bring and if he can shore us up at that spot.”
The Hokies have struggled with the linebacker all season. They are currently 2-4, 1-2 ACC. Saturday’s game against Miami (2-3-1 ACC) will see them attempt to break a three-game losing streak.
