- Universal Halloween Horror Nights creative exclusively tells EW their Fallout house contains season 2 teasers.
- Amazon asked if HHN can “tease our second season” with one character inside Fallout‘s house.
- The upcoming Five Nights at Freddy’s sequel will also be teased at HHN.
Fallout season 2 is still on Amazon’s nuclear-singed horizon, but TV series fans of the Emmy-winning video game adaptation can get a concrete glimpse at a secret character that will appear in new, upcoming episodes at the Universal Halloween Horror Nights 2025 event in both Orlando and Hollywood.
Amid revealing disturbing details to Entertainment Weekly about this year’s IP-related offerings (including pumping the smell of feces into brutally gory scenes in a Terrifier house and huge Five Nights at Freddy’s animatronics devised by Jim Henson‘s team) Universal Orlando Resort creative Lora Sauls exclusively confirms the Fallout house contains a big secret tease for season 2.
“For Fallout, thatās a little more fun in terms of how weāre teasing their second season. I give credit to our Amazon partners, who were the ones behind it,” Sauls says with a smile. “They were like, āHey, can you tease our second season with this character?ā And we were like, āYes!ā”

Sauls confirms that there is one character inside the Fallout houses on both coasts that will appear in season 2 of the show, which is set to debut December 17 on Amazon Prime Video.
She calls the house “amazing” in terms of what the team accomplished, and says that it was enhanced by Amazon’s commitment to both helping the Universal creative team replicate characters and locales from the series (like Ma June’s Sundries, as seen in EW’s exclusive imagery above) as well as the new character set for season 2.
“They worked with us all during filming their second season. The assets that we were getting from them… they actually shot a video for the tease that weāre doing for us,” Sauls remembers. “They were like, ‘We might as well, weāve got a character we want to feature right here.'”
Sauls continues, “Weāre excited about the tease youāre going to see for their second season!”
Upon debuting in 2024, Fallout generated positive fan reception, becoming one of the few game-to-screen adaptations to earn positive critical feedback. The show additionally earned three Emmy nominations ā including one for Walton Goggins‘ lead performance. It also boasts 14 Creative Arts Emmy nominations to its credit.
The show follows Yellowjackets star Ella Purnell as a young woman living in the year 2077, decades after a deadly nuclear war between the United States and China left swaths of the country in singed rubble, while portions of the population retreated to safe bunkers and lawless others roamed the surface raiding other territories.

In addition to teasing Fallout season 2, Sauls says that Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Florida and Universal Studios Hollywood will also tease the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie sequel outside of that project’s dedicated haunted house at both coasts ā which was made in collaboration with Jim Henson’s Creature Shop to create huge animatronics based on Freddy Fazzbear and more.

“Thereās definitely some teases,” Sauls says. “For Five Nights at Freddyās, weāre focused on the first Blumhouse film from 2023 for the haunted house. But, there are promotional opportunities as you exit the world for the second film.”
Halloween Horror Nights kicks off for an Aug. 29-Nov. 2 run at the Universal Orlando Resort, followed by a Sept. 4-Nov. 2 stretch at Universal Studios Hollywood.
