Elon Musk is the CEO of Twitter and Tesla, as well as having the highest net worth in history.

Twitter

Elon Musk began buying Twitter shares in January 2022, and he initiated the acquisition in April.

They could either accept a three month severance or work at “extremely difficult” rates. Musk would later lay off 80% of Twitter staff.

Musk’s TwitterThe changes to the verification process were announced by November 1. He tweeted that Twitter’s “current lords & peasants system for who has or doesn’t have a blue checkmark is bullshit.” He added: “Power to the People!” “Blue for $8/month.”

Musk announced that Linda Yaccarino would be the new Twitter CEO on May 20, 2023. Musk wrote in a Twitter post: “I look forward to working together with Linda to transform the platform into X, The Everything App.”

Twitter was rebranded as X on July 20, 2023.

SpaceX

Musk founded SpaceXIn 2002, he invested the $100 million that he received from PayPal.

The company was on the verge of failure. After three failed launches in 2006, 2007 and 2008 funding was running low. On September 28, 2008 SpaceX became first private company in history to launch an orbital rocket. The same year SpaceX won a NASA $1.5 billion contract. 

Musk said to CNBC, nine years after the event, that fate had favored him and his team.

SpaceX launches happen now on a pretty regular basis. The company releases a SpaceX launchSchedule on the website. Launches are usually held at Cape Canaveral Space Force Base and Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

SpaceX operates the Starlink satellite Internet system. According to the company, its satellites are in a lower orbit around the Earth, which reduces the delay between data transmission and reception. Musk stated that he intends to eventually create up to 42,00 satellites.

Musk’s The Boring Company was created as a subsidiary of SpaceX and later became its own entity. The tunneling venture was inspired by the gridlock in LA and has several projects underway on the West Coast.
