Roseilson Melo was on the line to deliver food that someone ordered from a restaurant in Brazil. Melo packed the meal and loaded it into his thermal backpack before riding his motorcycle to the house.
But then, after knocking on the customer’s door, something inexplicable happened — the food suddenly disappeared.
“The customer did not believe that the food was gone,” Tharles Costa, the restaurant’s owner, told Brazilian media. “The delivery guy arrived [back]I was completely lost and confused, and didn’t know what to do. We decided that we would go to the spot and ask for the video of the security cameras. [and] that’s when we saw everything that happened.”
It turned out that a sneaky thief was on the loose:
Melo was greeted by a random pup as he approached the house. And as Melo’s back was turned, the dog saw a bag of food drop from his backpack.
It was a chance that was too good to miss.
She was now able to eat the food.
Melo had no negative feelings towards the thieving dog, except for some confusion. They even got together for a civilized introduction afterward.
After all, while the pup didn’t pay for the meal, she was just following typical dog logic — tasty food on the ground is basically tasty food on the house.
