The Athletic reported earlier this week that the two clubs had agreed a fee in the region of £15million plus add-ons for Loftus-Cheek.
The 27 year old signed a four-year contract with Milan that will keep the player at the club through 2027. Fikayo, a Cobham academy graduate and former Chelsea teammate, will be joining him. Serie ASide in January 2021.
Loftus-Cheek’s Chelsea debut was in 2014 but it wasn’t until his breakout as a professional footballer that he really made a breakthrough. Premier LeaguePlayer on Loan at Crystal PalaceThe 2017-18 campaign is underway.
The England international was a star at Selhurst Park, before moving to Chelsea for the next season. He had his best scoring season ever with 10 goals across all competitions.
Loftus-Cheek ruptured his Achilles in a friendly game against the New England Revolution on July 2019 and was forced to miss almost a full year.
The 2020-2021 season was spent on loan. FulhamChelsea will be the host for the following two seasons.
Loftus-Cheek, who has been injured throughout his Chelsea career, made 33 appearances for the West London club in all competitions during last season. Mauricio pochettino is now their new coach.
Milan, however, will be playing Champions LeagueAfter securing a place in the top four of Serie A with one game left to play, football will be back on the agenda next season. Stefano Pioli’s side faced Chelsea in the group stage of this season’s competition, losing 2-0 at home and 3-0 in London. Loftus-Cheek was a sub during the match against Italy, and started in the reverse fixture.
Loftus-Cheek played 155 games for Chelsea in all competitions and scored 13 goals. He has played 10 games for EnglandThough he has not played for his country since 2018,
