After their fight in Las Vegas on Saturday, Gennady and Canelo Alvarez put aside their rivalry.

Canelo spoke directly to Golovkin after the fight interview.
“Thank you so much, my friend,” he said. “Thank you Golovkin, thank you, thank you for everything.
“We give the fans three good fights and thank you for everything.”
Canelo added: “He’s a really good fighter, I know.
“He’s strong, he’s a great fighter. And that’s why we are here, right?
“I am glad to share the ring with him.
“It’s very important for me, for my legacy, for my country, for everybody.
“I’ve gone through some very difficult things in my life. I’ve actually shown that defeats are great because they enable you to come back and show humility.
“I’m going to keep going to keep my legacy going.”
At the press conference after fighting, Golovkin shared his thoughts.
“I’ve always said that I did not feel any animosity in our rivalry,” he insisted.
“He was the one who said that it was personal.
“But after the fight when we looked each other in the eye, we had no claims towards each other any more.
“We congratulated each other, we said, ‘Excellent fight,’ and we moved on.
“Because we realise that at this level this sport is so dangerous and we were very content with how this fight played out and how our rivalry ended.”
