BTS ARMY celebrates boy band’s 12th debut anniversary: ‘We will forever be by your side’

BTS is one of the biggest boy bands in the world and there’s no denying it. The seven boys – RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jin, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have changed many lives. They continue to inspire their fans, popularly known as ARMYs.

Today i.e. June 13 is special for both BTS and ARMY. It marks the group’s twelfth debut anniversary. They debuted on June 13, 2013, with their EP 2 Cool 4 Skool, and then there was no looking back. BTS has been releasing hit music, with albums like ‘Love Yourself: Answer’ and ‘Map of the Soul: 7’. They have been topping charts globally and setting new records.

BTS has also impacted the world beyond music through social activism, philanthropic efforts, and cultural influence. They have inspired ARMYs to speak up and stand up for what they believe in.

Given that June 13 is so special, ARMYs are leaving no stone unturned to shower love on the seven members. A fan wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter), “12 years since BTS debuted & they have come so far… but have so many paths yet to walk & in every walk they walk or run… ARMYs will forever be by their side. Thank you BTS. We stayed BTS.” Another fan wrote, “12 years down, forever to go.” “We are forever, bulletproof,” wrote an ARMY.

BTS’ leader RM, who was recently discharged from the military, shared an emotional letter thanking his fans. Reflecting on the group’s journey, Namjoon admitted he never imagined they would reach this milestone. The rapper thanked ARMYs for their love and support, adding that he wants to continue walking this unpredictable road with them, no matter how tiring or uncertain it is.

“All through days of fatigue and sleepless nights, through incomprehensible people and thoughts that cling like tails – I’ll push through all those obstacles once more,” he wrote. The leader ended his letter by promising that BTS will do even better, thanking fans once again.

Apart from RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook were also discharged from the military. Jin and J-Hope completed their military service last year. Suga will be discharged from the military on June 21, 2025. After reunion, BTS is expected to release a new album and go on a world tour.
