Premier League footballer from the Premier League was charged with rape in July. His bail has been extended
After allegedly attacking another woman twice more, the footballer was arrested again. The second incident was not covered by the relevant legislation.
His club has not suspended him. For legal reasons, he cannot be identified.
A statement from the Metropolitan Police read: “On 4 July, an allegation of rape of a woman in her 20s was reported to police.
“It was reported the alleged rape happened in June 2022. A man was taken into custody on 4 July after he was suspected of rape at a Barnet address.
“While in custody, he was further arrested on suspicion of two incidents of rape that were alleged to have been committed in April and June of 2021 against a different woman in her 20s.
