Talks took place between Wolverhampton WanderersNuno Espirito Sante over a shock return Molineux
Nuno left Wolves 17-months ago, but the club is seriously considering bringing him back. They have also opened discussions with his representatives.
It’s believed the former Wolves boss has told them he’d like to return and has his heart set on an emotional reunion with the club where he enjoyed so much success, guiding them from the Championship to successive seventh-placed Premier League finishes and a Europa League quarter-final.
Nuno was fired by Wolves after his team fell to 13th in 2020-21, but the relationship between Nuno and Jeff Shi remains cordial.
The 48-year-old is currently based in Saudi Arabia, managing Al-Ittihad. He joined the club in the summer after a brief hiatus. Tottenham Hotspur. Al-Ittihad offered him a two-year deal.
