A whole bunch of pro-Palestinian protesters on the campus of College of Michigan pressured their method into an administrative constructing as footage emerged on social media depicting the chaotic scene Friday.
“Late this afternoon, a gaggle of pro-Palestinian protesters forcefully gained entry to a locked Ruthven Administration Constructing. An estimated 200 protesters entered the constructing,” a spokesperson for the college confirmed to FOX Information Digital on Friday. “U-M Police report constructing occupants have safely left the constructing and officers are working to revive order to the constructing. We are going to present additional updates because the state of affairs evolves.”
The spokesperson confirmed that protesters remained within the Ruthven Administration Constructing going into the night as police tried to regulate the scene. The constructing holds the workplace of College of Michigan’s president.

Photographs shared on social media by impartial journalist Brendan Gutenschwager present campus workers and a campus police officer blocking the doorways into the constructing till a protester opened the door from the within, permitting others to flood in.
The officer is seen struggling to dam entry into the constructing because the protesters pressure their well beyond him. The protesters might be heard chanting, “No justice, no peace!”

One other video reveals protesters wandering by way of the constructing and gathering within the rotunda waving Palestinian flags in addition to indicators like “#UMDivest,” referring to the anti-Israel Boycott, Divest and Sanction (BDS) motion.

The chaos on the College of Michigan is simply the newest occasion of pro-Palestinian demonstrations on faculty campuses going off the rails in current weeks following the Oct. 7 terrorist assaults by Hamas towards Israel.
