The wait was finally over as ‘Squid Game‘ season 3 released on Netflix, with Lee Jung-jae and The Frontman coming face-to-face and bringing an end to the survival thriller. The series was packed with twists and turns. Also, characters who died in the earlier seasons made an appearance in season 3, leaving many shocked.
Thanos (Choi Seung-hyun aka T.O.P), Se-mi (Won Ji-an), and more characters appeared in the third season. Take a look!
Kang Sae-byeok: Starting with Sae-byeok (played by Jung Ho-yeon), she was a player in season one. In the final season, Seung Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) imagines her stopping him from killing everybody to save Kim Jun-hee’s (Jo Yu-ri) baby. Gi-eun plans to kill everyone after The Frontman (Lee Byung-hun) tells him to stab the players to death, who want to kill the baby.

Thanos: Thanos (T.O.P) was introduced in the second season of ‘Squid Game‘. He was killed by Myung-gi during a fight in the bathroom. In the final season of the Netflix show, Thanos makes a comeback. How, you ask? Park Min-su (David Lee) gets his hands on some of Thanos’ drugs and takes them to continue playing the games. However, it affects his body and behaviour, and he hallucinates Thanos.

Se-mi: Se-mi (Won Ji-an) was the only one who stayed by Min-su’s (David Lee) side in the second season. However, she was killed by Nam-gyu (Roh Jae-won) in the second season. In season 3, Min-su gets his hands on some of Thanos’ drugs and takes them to continue playing the games. As a reaction to that, he starts hallucinating Se-mi.
In the end, Thanos’s team all became funny ghosts. !😭😭😭

The cameo that nobody expected – Cate Blanchett: In the final episode, Cate’s character on the streets of Los Angeles is seen instructing a homeless person to play Ddakji, a game from seasons I and II. If he loses, he gets slapped in the face. This is similar to Gong Yoo’s character as ‘The Recruiter’ in earlier seasons. Her cameo as the American recruiter hints at the US version of ‘Squid Game’.
