Pedro Pascal is set to make his MCU debut in July with ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps‘. He will be playing the role of Reed Richards in Matt Shakman’s directorial project. The excitement to see Pascal as Reed is sky-high among fans!
Post ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps‘, Pedro will reprise his role as Richards in the Russo Brothers-directed film, ‘Avengers: Doomsday‘. In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Pascal opened up about the criticism of his MCU casting.
The actor recalled people saying, “He’s too old. He’s not right. He needs to shave.” Pedro revealed it was Robert Downey Jr., who is returning to the MCU as Doctor Doom in ‘Avengers: Doomsday‘, who supported him during that time. “He’s just so immediately generous and inviting that you feel like you can be afraid, you can be hungry, you can be ambivalent,” Pascal said.
Who is in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’? Pedro Pascal and Robert Downey Jr. will be joined by Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, Anthony Mackie’s Captain America, Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes, Tom Hiddleston’s Loki, and Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man. Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm, Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s Ben Grimm, and Joseph Quinn’s Johnny Storm/Human Torch are also a part of the upcoming film.
Several X-Men characters are confirmed to be returning in Doomsday, including Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Kelsey Grammer as Beast, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romjin as Mystique, and James Marsden as Cyclops.
‘Avengers: Doomsday‘ will be released in 2026.
