Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron’s underage dating controversy is getting messier by the day. Every day scandalous revelations surface online, leaving the internet in a frenzy. On March 19, YouTuber Lee Jin-ho made a shocking allegation about Kim Sae-ron’s family, accusing them of hiding the fact that the late actress was secretly married. Notably, Lee Jin-ho is the YouTuber who the actress’ family has filed a lawsuit against.
In his latest YouTube upload, Jin-ho pointed out an online post Sae-ron made in January 2025, a month before she passed away. It consisted multiple wedding-like snaps with a mystery man, which Sae-ron captioned, “Marry.” The post was instantly deleted and her representatives claimed the man in the photo was merely her friend.
According to the YouTuber, Sae-ron allegedly had plans to move to New York with her husband. While doing so, he also squashed claims that Kim Soo-hyun forced Sae-ron to delete Kakao Talk and communicate through Telegram. “Previously, the YouTube channel Garo Sero Research Institute claimed that according to what Kim Sae Ron told her family, Kim Soo Hyun told her to change her phone, delete KakaoTalk, and communicate via Telegram,” said the YouTuber as per Koreaboo.

He added, “The bereaved family has been raising major issues about her ex-boyfriend Kim Soo Hyun from four years ago. But in reality, Kim Sae Ron was married to another man and living her newlywed life. Fact-checking confirmed that [around the time my videos were released about her,] Kim Sae Ron was in the U.S. at the time, with her husband.”
The YouTuber has also dropped an exclusive audio exchange between Sae-ron and a staff member where she spoke about her marriage and an alleged abortion. “While I was dating my current boyfriend (The mystery man on her online post), I happened to meet up with my ex while I was in Korea. There are problems to do with the company and B, so he said that he would just help me out with the issues even though we were broken up. So when we met up then, we were already broken up. I told everything to my ex, and that I had a boyfriend, and we said goodbye like that. I was also not going to marry my current boyfriend and was actually about to break up with him. But then, I suddenly got pregnant.”
When asked if she was pregnant, Sae-ron responded, “No, I got an abortion. But because of that, we ended up getting married.” She also revealed that the reason why she went through an abortion was because her alleged husband, “subtly threatening me about it. He’s kinda insane.”
While talking about how she ended up meeting him, Sae-ron said, “He’s just a normal person who works at a conglomerate in New York. We met through acquaintances. As time went by, although he’s normal regularly, when he gets insecure occasionally, as we are apart (long distance) – I even deleted my KakaoTalk, right? My boyfriend has access to my KakaoTalk and my Instagram. So he manages everything. And I was unable to use anything, and now I’m able to use normal messages and Telegram a little, but he told me he didn’t know why I kept hiding the fact that I was married. He wanted to make it public. So we ended up fighting and he uploaded the post. I told him to delete it just now, so he did. Anyway, that’s my situation.”
Kim Sae-ron was found dead at her apartment in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, on February 16, shockingly, the date coincides with Kim Soo-hyun’s birthday.
