Kim Soo-hyun reveals what was the hardest part during filming ‘Knock Off’

After ‘Queen of Tears‘, Kim Soo-hyun is set to star in ‘Knock Off‘ co-starring Jo Bo-ah. The upcoming K-drama follows the story of a man who becomes a counterfeit goods king after losing his job during the 1997 Asian financial crisis.

In a recent interview with Esquire, Soo-hyun revealed what was the hardest part of portraying Kim Seong-jun in ‘Knock Off‘. The actor said, “The hardest part of playing Seong-jun is that he has to explain everything, whether to allies or enemies. I’ve put a lot of effort into making those explanations clear and effective.”

The upcoming K-drama will be released in two parts on Disney+Hotstar, with the first nine episodes of season one premiering in early 2025. Directed by Park Hyun-suk, it also stars Lee Jung-eun, Jo Woo-jin, Go Gyu-pil, Kwon Nara, Yoo Jae-myung, and Choi Gyu-ri.

Kim Soo-hyun’s last project ‘Queen of Tears‘ was a global success. The story revolves around Hong Hae-in, a third-generation chaebol heiress of the Queens Group, and Baek Hyun-woo, the son of farmers from Yongdu-ri. The couple’s three-year marriage has reached a breaking point, with Hyun-woo on the verge of divorcing Hae-in. Fans loved Soo-hyun and Ji-won’s chemistry.
