Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will be one of the biggest superhero movies of all time and even if not, it is absolutely the single most influential movie that extends across both live-action and animation. Needless to say, the bar for the long-awaited Spider-Verse film has thus been raised very high. But sorry Spider-Verse fans, you will have to wait a little bit longer to see Miles Morales’ next adventure.
The disappointing news is that the much-awaited animated movie is not going to release before 2026. Sony Pictures Animation has reportedly delayed its plans to release ‘Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse’ in 2026. According to Deadline, the makers are apparently focused on the quality of the film and its animation.

Where the first movie was a coming-of-age story about how fun it is to become Spider-Man, the sequel was about how hard it is to actually be Spider-Man — day in and day out, making all kinds of sacrifices to live up to the awesome responsibility of the mantle. Now, the upcoming movie will showcase a new adventure in Morales’ life.
It is important to note the exact release date has not been confirmed but fans can expect the film to hit the theatres in 2026.
