After all the bullying and attacks she faced at Love is Blind, Habibi’s reunion, Lebanese model Nour El Haj went radio silent. She kept her social appearances quite limited and didn’t indulge in doing interviews even though fans were desperate to hear her side of the story. But there was a reason why she chose not to make media appearances. Nour was “forbidden from doing interviews.” Yes, you heard that right. Why, you ask? Because she got the law involved.
The massive revelation was made by the Lebanese model herself on the Hikmat Wehbi podcast. “I was honestly unable to go on interviews. Surely, it’s the people’s right to know as they waited a long time for me to make an appearance. But with everything that’s been going on I got the law involved. I hired a lawyer, they studied the case with everything that happened from the insults that were aired to the gossip about me, to the bullying. So my lawyer advised not to do any interviews because I might say something, something might slip up, which could be used against me. So that’s why I stayed silent for quite a long time,” said Nour.
While she almost filed a lawsuit against the show and its cast members but she eventually decided not to proceed with it. Wondering why? Nour explained “There’s a reason behind it. They say, ‘Forgive when you’re capable of punishing.’ So I thought to myself I’m capable of hurting them, just as they hurt me. And I’m able to get justice within the law. But I knew that this case might truly damage their lives whilst they’re still young and their lives are just getting started.” Nour thought about it from a different angle that her move could have a lifelong repercussion on others and she decided not to damage anyone’s life.
At this point in time, the model has severed her ties with most of the cast members. “Look I was honestly intending not to speak anything about this show because I’ve already moved on honestly. It was a long time ago I’m very caught up with my own life and all of this stuff I got over it long ago.”
But that’s not all, Nour also set the record straight about her reason behind joining the show. And, no, it wasn’t for fame or exposure. “Honestly, my goal regarding the ‘Love is Blind’ show wasn’t fame nor did I want it to open doors for me in any aspect of my life.” Nour also admitted she wanted to find a real life partner on the show, which she didn’t manage to do.
