Dave Bautista, an actor and former wrestler, may look intimidating but he is a compassionate person who loves animals in need. The Humane Society of Tampa BaySage, a Pit Bull 3-month-old girl, shared her story. She had a chain around her neck. Bautista quickly gathered enough money to pay her abuser.
Bautista fell in a love with the pup during the search for the suspect. He soon adopted her, and now she’s known as Penny Bautista. She’ll never have to experience Neglecting or abusingNever again
Puppy Cries for Help
Penny arrived at a humane society with a broken chain in her neck. It was also dragging along the ground next to her. The chain had to be removed by Penny, who now has a bald spot.
Penny was first noticed by a stranger as she was eating garbage by the side of a road. Surprised, the puppy ran up and hugged them. Penny was full love even before her extensive surgery.
“She is very sweet and friendly. Even though she is in immense pain, Sage was wagging her tail on the exam table while our veterinarian and vet techs were examining her,” the Humane Society of Tampa Bay wrote on Facebook. “In addition to the chain, we noticed that Sage has skin issues and overgrown nails. We can’t imagine who would do this to her.”
Bautista discovered Penny’s story and offered to pay $5,000 for information. He couldn’t believe anyone would do such a thing to an innocent dog, so he desperately wanted to punish the person responsible. The Humane Society offers $1,500 to the actor. Love at first sight
Bautista realized in just a few days that Penny and he shared a special bond. Bautista adopted her and her smile says it all. He promises that she’ll live a life of love and pampering from now on.
“To me, there’s nothing more innocent and pure than a puppy,” Bautista said. “For someone who can abuse a puppy has got to be the lowest form of human being, pure evil, for someone who can abuse an animal like that. It makes me sick to my stomach.”
Penny isn’t the first dog Bautista rescued. He also adopted Ollie, Maggie, and Ollie Pit Bulls. Penny will be delighted to have two siblings.
Unfortunately, there isn’t any information yet about the person who neglected Penny. But she doesn’t seem to mind, as long as she has a loving family. This adorable puppy will live the best possible life from now on. After all, she deserves it!
