Border Patrol agentsCustoms and Border Protection announced that 13 illegal immigrants were rescued from a U-Haul truck with no oxygen. This was just one of many rescues by the green-clad men and women.
CBP reported that the El Paso Sector agents located the migrants from Mexico in a truck. They were being smuggled into the country without oxygen and locked in their cell.
Officials claimed that all the migrants were not injured and didn’t require any additional medical attention. The migrants were then expelled by Title 42 public order. This allows for rapid expulsion of U.S. migrants due to The COVID-19 pandemic. Although the Biden administration is moving to eliminate Title 42, it has been blocked by a court order.
The driver could be charged with conspiracy for transport.

A 13-year old and a 14 year-old Guatemalan girl were killed, as well as two 16-years-olds. Mexico, authorities said. It was carrying 73 passengers when it was found on June 27.
Agents also assisted in the rescue of two migrants who were left behind by their smuggler on Wednesday. Both had suffered from severe dehydration and were taken to a local hospital.

Gloria I. Chavez (El Paso Sector Chief Patrol Officer) stated that the events of the past seven days have highlighted the complexity of the border environment. She also praised the ability of Border Patrol agents to adapt operationally to any border situation.

Border Patrol agents have performed 20,464 rescues so far in this fiscal year compared with 12,833 last.
