Wild horses are beautiful to see, but they should not be handled. Every year, thousands of tourists travel to Assateague Island National Seashore for the stunning wild horses that roam freely there. It measures 37 miles long.
There are always people who don’t follow the rules and put their horses and themselves at risk.
Recently uploaded to the People of the Ocean City Boardwalk’s Facebook page was a video of a lady striking a wild horse with her shovel. The lady, who was holding a shovel and a towel, approached the horse from behind. She whipped the horse with her shovel, and he responded by kickin’ his hind hooves.
The horse began to hunt again after the woman collapsed on the sand. The second horse joined the first, and the baby seemed to be interested in the towel.
The horses are not allowed to be touched or approached by anyone. However, the woman was able stand again and returned to the horses holding a shovel in her hands.
