Thursday’s call by President Joe Biden to Republican Governors was for them to stop sending migrants into their states. Democratic citiesCommunities and called such actions “political stunts”, and “un-American.”
During an address at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute gala, Biden accused Republicans of “playing politics” and using migrants as “props” after dozens of migrants were sent to Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts and to Vice President Kamala Harris’sWashington, D.C.
“Republicans play politics with human beings and use them as props. What they’re doing is simply wrong, it’s un-American, it’s reckless,” Biden said Thursday.
The president stated that there was a procedure in place to manage migrants crossing the border. “We are working hard to make it safe, orderly, humane. Republican officials should not interfere in this process by adopting a politically partisan stance.

Biden didn’t name any Republicans in his comments. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantisOn Wednesday, Greg Abbott took credit for flying migrants from Texas to Massachusetts. Texas Governor. Greg Abbott was credited with transporting migrants to Washington, D.C., on Thursday.
Biden and Democratic legislators have been repeatedly criticized by the two Republican governors for failing to secure the southern frontier and leaving border states to manage the ongoing immigration crisis.

Biden spoke at the gala, saying that modernizing our laws is necessary to ensure businesses have the workers they need, and that families don’t need to wait for decades to be reunited.
He stated, “It is time to get it done. We must win this off-year vote.
Biden’s comments came after he appeared to ignore a question about migrants being sent to Martha’s Vineyard earlier in the day, shortly after delivering remarks celebrating a tentative deal by railroad unions to avoid a strike.
Biden’s criticism of migrant transportation was echoed by the White House Thursday, as White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre referred to it as an “illegal stunt.”

“The White House has a lot of hypocrites, lead by the Hypocrite – in-Chief,” Abbott’s Press secretary Renae Eze said in a statement.
